We have lived in our new home for over a year. Though we have been wanting to get a letter to you, we have deferred doing so because we quite frankly haven’t figured out a way to thank you for building us a home that we find ourselves enjoying more each day. Honestly, we still step out on to the second story balcony overlooking the lake and never tire of the view.
Upon meeting you for the first time, we knew instantly that you were a man of integrity and would be able to build a house we could live in for many years. This was our first home building experience and working with Mr. Cockrum and his team was wonderful. Before building, we had always heard how stressful and frustrating building a home could be. We experienced none of that! From start to finish we always felt completely at ease with the whole process. Starting the design process with Angel was great. She was so thoughtful throughout the whole process and really did an awesome job of bringing our floor plan together. She even went out of her way to add some special finishing touches to our plan. Selecting materials with Jennifer was a great experience as well. What really impressed us the most was Mr. Cockrum’s personal involvement in the entire building process. When we began working with John in the building process, we found him to be very detail-oriented in getting our house built according to the plans. When we found a need to make a change he worked with us to make sure we were able to get what we wanted. When he saw something that could improve the process or the house, he made sure we were involved and had input to help ensure a “painless” effort.
We couldn’t have built this house without Jennifer’s assistance and supervision of the process where we chose the finishing touches, including all the hardware, sinks, appliances, cabinets, counter tops, paint and everything else that goes into the completion of house. Jennifer was so organized! She was knowledgeable about all aspects and she maintained an air of friendliness as well as professionalism throughout. Whenever anything wasn’t exactly as it should have been she made sure immediate corrections or adjustments were made. She worked closely with Angel and John to make sure the house was perfect!
